Open the Active Patient Records for Posting Charges

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the Charge Posting window. For details on how to open the Charge Posting window, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Billing and Collections User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. Open the Charge Posting window. Select open menu next to Patient/MRN, and then select Access Active Patient from the menu. The active patient details and the patient's most recent encounter appear. Open the Active Patient Records for Making Payment Entries

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the Payment Entry window. Setting Active Patients in NextGen® Enterprise PM

When you open a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can set that patient as the current active patient. You can then easily access the active patient in other areas of the application, if needed. Set Active Patients You can set a patient record as active, and quickly access it from other areas of NextGen® Enterprise PM. Opening the Active Patient Record You can quickly open the active patient record to add or edit appointments, post charges, or make payments. Open the Active Patient Records to Link New Appointments

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Appt Book icon on the main toolbar. The Appointment Book window opens. From Appointment Book, open the Add Appointment window. Open Active Person Records

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the People Lookup window using one of the following methods: On the main toolbar, select Chart. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Charts. Select the arrow next to Find and select Access Active Patient from the menu. The Update Patient Information window opens displaying details of the active person.
