In
NextGen® Enterprise PM
, open the
Appointment Lookup
window by doing one of the following:
From the main toolbar, select the
Appt List
button.
From the
Tasks
menu, select
Lookup
, and then
Appointments
.
Select the arrow next to
Find
, and then select
Access Active Patient
from the menu.
The
Appointment List
section of the
Appointment Lookup
window displays appointments for the active patient.

Open the Active Patient Records to Link New Appointments
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Appt Book icon on the main toolbar. The Appointment Book window opens. From Appointment Book, open the Add Appointment window. Select open menu next to First, and then select Access Active Patient from the menu. The active patient record is linked to the new appointment. Parent topic: Opening the Active Patient Record

Open Active Patient Records
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following to open the Patient Lookup window: On the main toolbar, select Chart. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Charts. Patient Lookup Window Select the arrow next to Find, and then select Access Active Patient from the menu. The patient chart opens for the active patient. Open Active Person Records
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the People Lookup window using one of the following methods: On the main toolbar, select Chart. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Charts. Select the arrow next to Find and select Access Active Patient from the menu. The Update Patient Information window opens displaying details of the active person. Open the Active Patient Records to Link Existing Appointments
Before you begin You must first remove the link between the existing person record and the appointment. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Appt Book icon on the main toolbar. The Appointment Book window opens. From Appointment Book, open the Edit Appointment window. Select open menu , and then select Clear Patient from the menu. A message appears for your confirmation to delete the person linked to the appointment. To remove the current person or patient from the appointment, select OK. Open the Active Patient Records for Making Payment Entries
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the Payment Entry window. For details on opening the Payment Entry window, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Transactions User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. Select open menu next to Patient/MRN, and then select Access Active Patient from the menu. The active patient details and the patient's most recent encounter appear. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Appointments. Select Tasks > Lookup > Appointments. In the Appointment Lookup window, select the arrow next to Find, and then select Access Active Patient.The Appointment List section of the Appointment Lookup window displays appointments for the active patient.
