Open Active Person or Patient Records
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. View Appointments for a Previous Person or Patient
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Appointments. Select Tasks > Lookup > Appointments. In the Appointment Lookup window, select the arrow next to Find, and then select Access Previous Patient.The last five recently-opened patient records appear. Link Active Patients to a New Appointment
From the main toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select ApptBook. In the Appointment Book window, select Add Appt. In the Add Appointment window, select the open menu icon next to Last Name, and then select Access Active Patient. The active patient record is linked to the new appointment. Set Active Patients
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. Enter search criteria and select Find. Double-click the patient with folder indicator.The chart of the selected patient opens. Select the open menu icon next to the patient's name, and then select Set Active Patient.The patient is set as the current active patient. Note: The Active Patient indicator appears on the status bar on the NextGen® Enterprise PM desktop. You can hover over the Active Patient indicator to view the active patient's name. View Previous Person or Patient Records
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Select the arrow next to Find, and then select Access Previous Patient. The last five recently-opened accessed people records appear in the sub-menu. Select a person. Link Active Patients to an Existing Appointment
Before you begin You must first remove the link between the existing person record and the appointment. From the main toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select ApptBook . In the Appointment Book window, double-click the appointment. In the Edit Appointment window, select the open menu icon next to the Last Name, and then select Clear Patient. A confirmation message appears. Select OK. In the Edit Appointment window, select the open menu icon, and then select Access Active Patient. The active patient is linked to the existing appointment.
