Creating Group Encounters
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can create group encounters in the following ways:
- Create a Group Encounter for Kept Members
This enables you to create a group encounter for patients in a group appointment whose individual member appointments have been marked as kept. An encounter is created for each kept member and automatically linked to their kept appointment. An encounter is not created for patients in the group appointment whose individual member appointments have not been marked as kept.
- Create a Group Encounter for Scheduled Members
This enables you to create a group encounter for all patients in a group appointment, regardless of whether their individual member appointments have been marked as kept. An encounter is created for each scheduled member and automatically linked to their appointment, and all member appointments are marked as kept.
- Create a Group Encounter for a Patient Group
This enables you to create a group encounter for all patients in a patient group. The group encounter is not associated to a group appointment and an encounter is created for each member in the group. You can manually link the encounter to each patient's appointment during the check-in process.
You can also create a group encounter in NextGen® Enterprise EHR . This enables you to create a group encounter for all patients in a patient group. The group encounter is not associated with a group appointment and an encounter is created for each member in the patient group.
