Resetting Statement Print Dates

When printing or exporting an individual demand statement or a batch of statements, if the Update Last Statement Dates check box is selected on the Statement Options window and you select the Print or Export button. A confirmation message appear stating that the statements are printed or exported correctly. If you select Yes on the message, the following parameters are updated on the Account Profile, Properties tab for every guarantor account in the batch. The accounts will not qualify for another statement until they again meet or exceed the Number of Days between Statements defined in Practice Preferences > Statements. Last Statement Print Date Next Statement Print Date Statement Counter If after selecting Yes to the message, you discover that the batch did not actually print or export correctly (e.g., paper jam on printer), the statements cannot be regenerated because the above parameters have already been updated for each guarantor account. Suppressing Statements

You can suppress statements from generating for a guarantor at the account, chart, or encounter levels. Reports and work log tasks are available to assist in identifying print statement indicators that have been turned off. In addition, specific payers can be defined to not generate statements, specific SIM codes can be suppressed from statements, and all SIM descriptions can be suppressed from statements. Suppress Statements for an Account You can suppress statements for an account. Suppress Statements for a Chart You can suppress statements at the chart level. Suppress Statements for an Encounter You can suppress statements at the encounter level. Suppress Statements for a Payer You can suppress statements for a payer. Suppress Statements for a SIM Code You can suppress statements for a SIM Code. Archiving Statements

Statements can be archived when they are printed or exported so that an image of each statement is stored and available for viewing in the guarantor’s Account Profile. When a statement is archived, you can view or reprint the image but you cannot delete it. Note: Statements have a Reset Print Dates option that can be used in the event a batch of statements needs to be reprinted or exported. If a batch is reset and then reprinted/exported, the original archived statement image is still stored. The new image resulting from the reprint/export is also stored and available for viewing. Create an Archived Statement

To create an archived statement, do one of the following: Print or Export an Individual Account Statement. Print or Export an Individual Patient Statement. Print or Export Batch Statements. Select Update Last Statement Dates, and then select Print or Export. A message appears confirming that the statements are printed or exported correctly. Do one of the following: If the statements printed or exported correctly, select Yes. An image of each statement is now archived in the guarantor’s Account Profile, on the Notes tab, in the Statements folder.
