Setting Up Tasks for Auto Worker

You can set up tasks to be automatically processed each night without any human interaction. These tasks are worked automatically by the application based on the Auto Worker action chosen and completed. The completed task is then reflected in the Worklog and the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The list of available Auto Worker actions changes depending on the selection in the Source Type field and which Auto Creation actions are selected.

Notes:

  • Because the auto worker processes tasks unattended, you cannot activate an Auto Completion action and an Auto Worker action in the same task.
  • When you open an automatically-worked task in NextGen® Enterprise PM, Auto Worker is selected by default in the Completed By field; and the Completed By and the Completion date fields cannot be changed. Auto Worker also displays as the Completed By user ID in task detail reports.
  • In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you cannot select Auto Worker for a task that has not been automatically worked.
