Set Up Chart Alert Tasks in Auto Worker

You can set up tasks that cause a chart alert to display each time certain conditions are met. These tasks are automatically worked based on the Auto Worker action Add a chart alert with subject<>, expiration date<> and description<>. This action can be added to any task type that has a Chart or Encounter source type. The action automatically creates a chart alert for the source type and marks the task as completed. The completed task then displays in the Worklog and on the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Set Up Auto Worker Tasks for Small Balance Write-Offs

You can set up tasks to automatically write off small balances each night based on selecting an action from a list. These tasks are worked automatically by the application based on the Auto Worker action chosen and completed. The completed task is then reflected in the Worklog and the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Auto Worker creates a transaction batch and, on the next day, the NextGen® Enterprise PM user must post the transaction batch. For each day that the batch is not posted, auto worker continues to create additional tasks for the same encounter and new batches will be created every day. To set up a task to automatically write off small balances, perform the following steps: Open or set up new task types. On the Task Types dialog box, select the Options tab, then set the Default Priority to Low, Normal, or High. Select the Auto Creation tab. In the Source Type field, select Encounter. Set Up Auto Worker Tasks to Move Balances to Patient Responsibility

This auto worker option in task types automatically moves balance from one bucket to another. For example, when the patient's insurance does not pay a balance after a specified number of days, the balance automatically moves to patient responsibility. This task is worked automatically by the application based on the Auto Worker action chosen and completed. The completed task is then reflected in the Worklog and the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Setup Auto Worker Tasks for Credit Balance Write-Offs

You can setup a Task Type to automatically write-off credit balances that are less than zero at the account level. After the task is activated, accounts are automatically identified when a guarantor credit meets the defined parameters. This occurs when the third party balance is zero. Then the application automatically writes-off the credit balances. Access File Maintenance System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window appears. Select the Open Menu button and select New. The Task Types window appears. In the Task Type field, enter a free-text description for the task. This field is required. In the Source Type field, select Account or Encounter. This field is required. Complete the Task Value, Task Subgrouping 1, Task Subgrouping 2, and Note fields as needed for the task. Setting Up Tasks for Auto Worker

You can set up tasks to be automatically processed each night without any human interaction. These tasks are worked automatically by the application based on the Auto Worker action chosen and completed. The completed task is then reflected in the Worklog and the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The list of available Auto Worker actions changes depending on the selection in the Source Type field and which Auto Creation actions are selected. Notes: Because the auto worker processes tasks unattended, you cannot activate an Auto Completion action and an Auto Worker action in the same task. When you open an automatically-worked task in NextGen® Enterprise PM, Auto Worker is selected by default in the Completed By field; and the Completed By and the Completion date fields cannot be changed. Auto Worker also displays as the Completed By user ID in task detail reports. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you cannot select Auto Worker for a task that has not been automatically worked. Set
