Providers ePrescribing Tab

On the ePrescribing tab of the Modify Provider Information window, you can enter electronic prescription data that is specifically used in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can enroll providers in retail and mail-order electronic prescribing networks and determine the service levels they are enrolled in. Networks

This section enables you to enroll a provider in the retail and mail order programs. It also displays the values for the enrollment settings for the retail and mail order programs.

SettingValue
StatusDisplays whether the provider is Enrolled or Not Enrolled in the program.
Enrollment DateDisplays the date of the provider's enrollment.
Un-enrollment DateDisplays the date the provider's enrollment was removed.
SureScripts Provider ID and Mail-Order Prescriber IDDisplays the ID assigned to the provider at the time of enrollment.

Retail Service Level and Mail-Order Service Level

Select the provider's messaging capability:
With this service level...The provider can...
New RxSend new prescriptions to SureScripts Retail Pharmacies. This is the minimum level required and cannot be removed once it is set.
Refill RequestReceive refill requests from pharmacies.
Rx ChangeReceive a request from a pharmacy to change a prescription.
Rx FillReceive fill statuses of a prescription from pharmacies.
Rx Fill Indicator ChangeChange the RxFill notifications for a medication and send an update response back to the enrolled pharmacy
Cancel RxSend a cancellation request to a pharmacy for an electronic prescription previously sent to that pharmacy.
Medication HistorySend requests for a patient's medication history in the SureScripts Retail Pharmacies system.
EligibilitySend eligibility requests for medications.
ePCSSend electronic prescriptions for controlled substances to Surescripts Retail Pharmacies. To select this option, you must first select New Rx and Refill Request. For more information about ePCS setup, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise.
ePASend electronic prior authorization (ePA) requests.

Workgroups

For each Task Type, select the group that receives a new workflow task and the Category that the task is placed in.

For this Task Type...Select a Workgroup to...
eRx RefillsReceive a new workflow task when a pharmacy in the SureScripts Retail Pharmacies network sends an electronic prescription Refill Request to this provider.
eRx ErrorsReceive Free Standing Errors.
RxChangeReceive a new workflow task when a pharmacy in the SureScripts Retail Pharmacies network sends a request to change an electronic prescription to this provider.
ePAReceive a new electronic prior authorization (ePA) task when an ePA status update indicates user action is required.

eRx Supervising Physician

If a supervising physician is required, select the Supervising Physician Required check box and then select a name in the Supervising Physician field.

For the rendering provider to be the supervising physician, select the Rendering Provider check box.
