Provider Service Level

A provider who is enrolled with the Surescripts retail or mail-order pharmacy networks can perform certain actions only if the following applicable service levels are selected:

• New Rx sends a new Rx request to the pharmacy.

• Refill Request receives refill requests from pharmacies.
• Medication History receives a patient's entire medication history from Surescripts.
• Eligibility checks patient's eligibility.
• Rx Change receives a request from a pharmacy to change a prescription.
• Rx Fill receives prescription fill statuses from pharmacies that support the RxFill transaction.
• Rx Fill Indicator Change changes the RxFill notifications for a medication and send an update response back to the enrolled pharmacy.
• Cancel Rx sends a cancel request for an electronic prescription that was previously sent to a pharmacy.
• ePCS electronically prescribes Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substances.
• ePA sends electronic prior authorization requests.
