Patient Information Bar Practice Preferences for NextGen® Enterprise PM

The Patient Information Bar in practice preferences enable you to select whether the Patient Information Bar displays in the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM and what patient information displays on the bar.

You can also configure Practice Preferences to display the Patient Information Bar in Charge Entry and Payment Entry.

• Patient Demographic Information. You can select up to three types of demographic information to display on the Patient Information Bar.
• Chart Link. You can decide whether to display optional information as a link on the Patient Information Bar. This information can be optionally displayed whether the Patient Information Bar is minimized or maximized.
• Field Name Customization. You can select any field to display on the Patient Information Bar from the following database tables:
  • patient
  • person
  • practice_person_family_info
  • practice_person_sliding_fee

You can also create short labels for the fields that display on the Patient Information Bar. You can also hover the displayed label.

• Appointment Hover. You can configure the number of appointments to be displayed in the Appointment Hover on the Patient Information Bar. You can select to display up to four Historical and four Future appointments.

Both Historical and Future appointments are determined by the System Date. Appointments for the current day (today) are considered as future appointments even if the status is Kept. For that reason, more than four future appointments could be displayed for the day.

Deleted appointments do not display in the Appointment Hover.
