Default Guarantor	The patient's default Guarantor from the Patient Chart > Patient Information tab > Relationship/Contact/Guar sub-tab.
Preferred Language	The patient's Preferred Language from the Patient Information window.
Credit Card On File	Y (Yes) or N (No) indicating whether the guarantor's credit card is on file on the Account Profile > Credit Card on File tab.
Preferred Pronoun	The patient's Preferred Pronoun from the Patient Information window.
Patient Portal	An icon indicating the patient's NextGen Patient Portal enrollment status.
Primary Care Provider	The patient's Primary Care Provider from the Patient Information window on the Demographics tab.
Gender Identity	The patient's Gender Identity from the Patient Information window.
Current Gender	The patient's Current Gender from the Patient Information window.
Patient Status	The patient's Status from the Patient Information window on the Status tab.
Primary Dental Provider	The patient's Primary Dental Provider from the Patient Information window on the Demographics tab.
Sexual Orientation	The patient's Sexual Orientation from the Patient Information window.

Set Up Patient Information Bar Practice Preferences for NextGen® Enterprise PM

From the Preference List, select Patient Information Bar, and then select PM tab. Select the Show Patient Information Bar check box. To display the Patient Information Bar on the Charge Posting, select the In Charge Entry check box. To display the Patient Information Bar on the Payment Entry, select the In Payment Entry check box. Define which information to display on the bar in the Patient Information section. Define which information to display on the bar in the Chart Link section. For each Field that you want to be accessible from the Patient Information Bar, do the following: In the Table field, select the Open File and then select a table. In the Field field, select a field from the table to display the field value on the Patient Information Bar. In the Display Label field, enter a label for the field on the Patient Information Bar. The Patient Information Bar in practice preferences enable you to select whether the Patient Information Bar displays in the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM and what patient information displays on the bar. You can also configure Practice Preferences to display the Patient Information Bar in Charge Entry and Payment Entry. Patient Demographic Information. You can select up to three types of demographic information to display on the Patient Information Bar. Chart Link. The following patient demographic information appears on the Patient Information Bar in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Sex Note: Sex is abbreviated. You can hover over the abbreviation to view the full description. Date of Birth Age Note: In case of expired patients, (Deceased) appears instead of age. Person Number Medical Record Number (MRN) Other ID Number Other ID Number is based on the details in the External tab of the Modify Patient Information. Add Demographics Information

Demographic information includes details such as marital status, mother's maiden name, student status, preferred language, religion, primary care provider, and primary dental care provider. Veteran and smoker statuses can also be noted. You can enroll the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR the Enterprise Chart feature to view the patient’s encounters in every practice in your enterprise. On the Add Person Information or Add Patient Information window, select the Demographics tab. From Marital Status, select one of the options: Note: Marital Status is a required field in the Add Patient Information window and appears in red, if left blank.
