NextGen EDI Uploading Practice Preferences

If you are enrolled in and utilizing the statements or letter services offered by NextGen Electronic Data Interchange NextGen EDI , you can automatically upload statement and letter export files to the NextGen EDI website in real-time when the files are generated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can also use the NextGen Background Business Processor (BBP) to automatically download files from NextGen EDI. To automatically upload and download files, your NextGen EDI login credentials must be entered on the NextGen EDI Uploading tab. To access this window, select Admin > Preferences > NextGen EDI Services. Login Information Field Description Account ID Enter the Account ID obtained from NextGen EDI. Username Enter the Username obtained from NextGen EDI. Practice ID Enter the Practice ID obtained from NextGen EDI. Password Enter the Password obtained from NextGen EDI. Set up Security Access Rights for NextGen® Enterprise

To download and upload files to NextGen Electronic Data Interchange (NextGen EDI), users must have the appropriate security access rights. Access System Administrator. The System Administrator window opens. On the left, select to expand the appropriate Enterprise and Practice. Select the desired user Group within the practice. Select the Rights tab. Select to expand Operations, and then NextGenEDI. Select the appropriate Access Rights (Yes or No) for each of the following: Download Available Files: Enables users to download files from the NextGen EDI website. Upload Letter Export File: Enables users to upload letter export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. Upload Statement Export File: Enables users to upload statement export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. To save changes, select Save, and then Update. NextGen EDI Messaging Practice Preferences

After entering your logon information, you can use this tab to identify the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) notification preferences for your practice. All the preferences listed in the Default Method list display on the Patient Information window of the Demographics tab and EDI Messaging window. The link on the Patient Information > Demographics tab. At least one Notification Messaging reminder method needs to be selected for the link to appear on the Patient Information on the Demographics tab. On the Patient Information of the Demographics tab, when you select the link, the EDI Messaging window appears. You can select the patient's preferred method of contact for EDI reminders on this window. To open this window, select Admin > Preferences > NextGen EDI Services > NextGen EDI Messaging tab. Add Patient Preferences for EDI Messaging

The EDI Messaging window is only available to practices that have an EDI license. The options in the reminders fields are determined by your system administrator. Use this window to identify how the patient wants to receive reminders. NextGen EDI services uses the NextGen EDI Console to create and send the reminders to the patient. Open the Add/Modify Person/Patient Information window for the applicable person/patient. Select the hyperlink. The EDI Messaging window opens. On the EDI Messaging window do the following and then select OK. In the Appointment Reminders field, select one or more of the following: Opt Out Email SMS (Text) Voice Reminders In the Balance Reminders field, select one or more of the following: Opt Out Email SMS (Text) Voice Reminders In the Recall Plans field, select one or more of the following: Opt Out Email SMS (Text) Voice Reminders Select the EDI Notification option button.
