Field	Description
Account ID	Enter the Account ID obtained from NextGen EDI.
Username	Enter the Username obtained from NextGen EDI.
Practice ID	Enter the Practice ID obtained from NextGen EDI.
Password	Enter the Password obtained from NextGen EDI.
Test Login	Select this button to validate and test the Login Information entered above.

Field	Description
Update Address Records	Select this check box to update the address in demographic records for accounts and patients included in Fast Forward address update files obtained from NextGen EDI. Files can be imported into NextGen® Enterprise PM from the File > Processes > Change of Address Update menu. Upon import, you can either enable or disable the Update Address Records option. Note: This setting determines the default for the Update Address Records check box on the Electronic Address Change window in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

Set up Security Access Rights for NextGen® Enterprise

To download and upload files to NextGen Electronic Data Interchange (NextGen EDI), users must have the appropriate security access rights. Access System Administrator. The System Administrator window opens. On the left, select to expand the appropriate Enterprise and Practice. Select the desired user Group within the practice. Select the Rights tab. Select to expand Operations, and then NextGenEDI. Select the appropriate Access Rights (Yes or No) for each of the following: Download Available Files: Enables users to download files from the NextGen EDI website. Upload Letter Export File: Enables users to upload letter export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. Upload Statement Export File: Enables users to upload statement export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. To save changes, select Save, and then Update. NextGen EDI Messaging Practice Preferences

After entering your logon information, you can use this tab to identify the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) notification preferences for your practice. All the preferences listed in the Default Method list display on the Patient Information window of the Demographics tab and EDI Messaging window. The link on the Patient Information > Demographics tab. At least one Notification Messaging reminder method needs to be selected for the link to appear on the Patient Information on the Demographics tab. On the Patient Information of the Demographics tab, when you select the link, the EDI Messaging window appears. You can select the patient's preferred method of contact for EDI reminders on this window. To open this window, select Admin > Preferences > NextGen EDI Services > NextGen EDI Messaging tab. Statement History Options

Field Description Update last statement dates Default the Update Last Statement Dates check box on the Statement Options window when processing batch statements. If selected, the option will be preselected, and the Last Statement Print Date will therefore be updated on the Account Profile window for all guarantor accounts in the statement run. Address Change Report

The Address Change report is generated when the Change of Address Update process is run in NextGen® Enterprise PM to import an address update file obtained from a print services vendor. For example, if you use NextGen® EDI services to print and mail statements or letters from export files created in NextGen® Enterprise PM, they can provide "Fast Forward" address update files to you from their website. After downloading a file from the vendor, the Change of Address Update process is used to import the file into NextGen® Enterprise PM. Upon completion of the import, an Address Change report is generated. The report provides details based on information provided in the imported file, such as patient name, old address, and new address. Viewing 'EDI Upload' Status

When creating a statement or letter export file in NextGen® Enterprise PM, if the Upload Export File to NextGenEDI check box is selected, and valid login credentials are entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Upload, then the file automatically uploads to NextGen EDI in real-time as soon as it is created. When an upload is successful, the following occurs in NextGen® Enterprise PM: A message displays indicating the file was uploaded and received by NextGen EDI: Upload to NextGenEDI Successful; [File Name]; [File Size]. A copy of the Statement, Account Collection Letter or Budget Letter is archived in the Account Profile > Notes tab > Statements or Letters folder for each guarantor. A copy of the Appointment Reminder, Recall or Encounter Collection Letter is archived in the Patient Chart > Clinical History/Notes tab > Letters folder for each patient.
