Activate and Assign a Payer to a Practice

When you select Practice access for payer master file, the payers can be defined at the practice level, and you can restrict which practices have access to them. Import Practice-level Master Files

In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > PM > Payers, and select the applicable payer. On the Modify Practice Information window, selectS the Import tab. Select the practice from which you want to import information, in the Choose Practice to import data from field. To select data to import in the Choose Data to import list, do one of the following: Enable the Master File Type check box. This option selects all of the data types for import. Enable the check boxes for the data types you want to import. Dunning Messages – This option is automatically selected if you select Practice Preferences. Groups – Location information is not imported. Letters – This option is automatically selected when you select Practice Preferences. Marketing Plans Patient Statuses Practice Access Payer Practice Access Provider Practice Payers – Imports all practice payers. You can import individual practice payers from the payer master file. Activate Practice Access to the Payer Master File

In File Maintenance select Master Files > System > Enterprises The Enterprises List window opens. To access your enterprise, double-click the applicable enterprise. The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. Select the Practice access for payer master file check box. Select OK. Create a Practice in a Specific Enterprise

Use the following steps when you want to create: Your first practice within an enterprise that you have already created. A new practice in an enterprise that you are NOT logged into. Log on to File Maintenance. The File Maintenance window opens. In the upper left corner of the File Maintenance window, select the enterprise that you want to add a new practice to. Under Master Files, select System. If the enterprise you selected has no practices in it yet, the Master Files - System list only displays the Enterprise and Practices master files icons. Select the Practices icon. The Practices List Access window opens. Select the Open Menu button and then select New. The Practice Defaults tab on the Add Practice Information window opens. Enter the practice information. Select OK. The new practice does not display in the Practices List because you do not have access to it. Assign Quick File Configurations to Practices

Before you begin In Enterprise Preferences, you must activate Practice access for Quick File Configurations. Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System, and then select Quick File Configurations. The Quick File Configurations List window opens. Right-click the configuration in the list that you want to assign, and then select Practice Access. The Quick File Master Access by Practice window opens. Select the practices that you want to have access to the Quick File configuration. To select all the practices, select the Practice option. Select OK.
