Import Practice-level Master Files

  1. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > PM > Payers, and select the applicable payer.
  2. On the Modify Practice Information window, selectS the Import tab.

  3. Select the practice from which you want to import information, in the Choose Practice to import data from field.
  4. To select data to import in the Choose Data to import list, do one of the following:
    • Enable the Master File Type check box. This option selects all of the data types for import.
    • Enable the check boxes for the data types you want to import.
      • Dunning Messages – This option is automatically selected if you select Practice Preferences.
      • Groups – Location information is not imported.
      • Letters – This option is automatically selected when you select Practice Preferences.
      • Marketing Plans
      • Patient Statuses
      • Practice Access Payer
      • Practice Access Provider
      • Practice Payers – Imports all practice payers. You can import individual practice payers from the payer master file.
      • Practice Preferences – When you select Practice Preferences, Letters and Dunning Messages are automatically selected for importing so that all practice preferences are retained with the following exceptions:
      • Recall Plans – When you select Recall Plans, Letters is automatically selected for importing along with the recall plans. Event, Resource, and Location information is not imported.
      • Report Types
      • Task Workgroups
  5. Select Import.
    If you select Practice Preferences to import, a warning displays that the imported Practice Preferences will overwrite existing Practice Preferences. All other imported data appends to any data that already exists in the practice.
