Practice Tab

In the File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Payers, the Practice tab of the Add/Modify Payer Information window contains several tabs. The following topics provide information about the sub-tabs on the Practice tab. Import a Practice Payer into a Practice

The Import Practice Payer feature enables you to copy practice-specific data from one practice into another practice. You must be logged into the practice that you want to import into. The copied data includes practice access information and information from the Practice tab. If a practice already has payer information, importing overwrites any payer data that may already be in the practice. One situation in which you might want to import a practice payer is when you have created a new practice and you want to add payer information that already exists. Instead of manually re-entering all the existing payer practice information, you can simply import it from a payer and only modify the fields as needed. In File Maintenance under Master Files, select System. The list of System Master Files displays. Double-click Payers. The Payer List window opens. When you select Practice access for payer master file, the payers can be defined at the practice level, and you can restrict which practices have access to them. Assign Practices to a Payer

Open File Maintenance, and then select Master Files > System > Payers. The Payers List window opens. Right-click the applicable payer, and then select Practice Access. The Payer Master Access by Practice window opens. Note: By default, all practices listed in the Payer Master Access by Practice window are selected to allow access to all of the payers listed in the Payer master file. However, when a new payer is added, only the practice from which the payer was created has access to that payer. From the Practice list, do one of the following: To allow specific practices to access the payer, select the checkboxes individually next to the practices in the list, or right-click a practice and then select the Select All option. Select All in the Payer Master Access by Practice window To prevent specific practices from accessing the payer, clear the checkboxes next to the relevant practices in the list. Select OK. Activate Practice Access to the Payer Master File

Open File Maintenance, and select Master Files > System > Enterprises . The Enterprises List window opens. To access your enterprise, double-click the applicable enterprise.The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens.
