TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments. Default AutoFlow sequences for all users in the practice are selected by location in yourAutoFlowpractice preferences. You can also select AutoFlow sequences by location in your user preferences. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the AutoFlow Sequences tab. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in theAutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Check-in/Create Encounter"andAutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Checkout"sections, do the following: In the<All Locations>row, select theAutoFlow Sequenceyou use at all locations in the practice. Set up AutoFlow User Preferences

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the AutoFlow tab. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in the respective sections, do the following: In the <All Locations> row, select the AutoFlow Sequence you use at all locations in the practice. In the location specific rows, select the sequence you use at each location in the practice, if different from the <All Locations> sequence. Note: A location-specific sequence overrides the <All Locations> sequence. Select OK to save the changes and close the window. Note: User-level settings override practice-level settings. Assign Practice-Level AutoFlow Sequences

You can assign AutoFlow sequences to specific locations for the practice in Practice Preferences. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice > AutoFlow > Sequences tab. To apply an AutoFlow Sequence for check-in or when a user creates an encounter, do one of the following in the AutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Check-in/Create Encounter" section: For all locations, select a sequence in the All Locations row. For a specific location, select a sequence in the location's row. To apply an AutoFlow Sequence for check-out, repeat the previous step in the AutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Checkout" section. AutoFlow Practice Preferences

The AutoFlow Practice Preferences enable you to select an Autoflow Sequences Master File that contains a series of actions for processing encounters during check-in and check-out processes. You can apply a sequence to all locations or to individual ones. You can also set default user preferences for autoflow that override these practice-level settings. To assign AutoFlow Sequences, do the following: Open the AutoFlow Practice Preferences: Master Files > System > Practices > Preferences > AutoFlow.
