TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments. Default AutoFlow sequences for all users in the practice are selected by location in yourAutoFlowpractice preferences. You can also select AutoFlow sequences by location in your user preferences. Set up AutoFlow Preferences

Set up AutoFlow User Preferences

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the AutoFlow tab. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in the respective sections, do the following: In the <All Locations> row, select the AutoFlow Sequence you use at all locations in the practice. In the location specific rows, select the sequence you use at each location in the practice, if different from the <All Locations> sequence. Note: A location-specific sequence overrides the <All Locations> sequence. Select OK to save the changes and close the window. Note: User-level settings override practice-level settings. AutoFlow Sequences

AutoFlow sequences define a set series of windows that users follow when performing the check-in and check-out processes. You can create AutoFlow sequences for the: Practice - All users in the Practice use the same sequence Location - All users within a Location in the Practice use a different sequence User -Specific user(s) in the Practice use a different sequence Note: There are pre-existing (Check-In Default) and (Check-Out Default) sequences for each Practice. You can modify these sequences and create additional sequences as needed. Setting Up AutoFlow

To set up the AutoFlow feature: Create AutoFlow Sequence master files in File Maintenance. Assign the AutoFlow sequences created in File Maintenance to specific practice locations on the AutoFlow Sequences tab in Practice Preferences. Note: You can set default user preferences for AutoFlow that override the practice-level settings in Practice Preferences.
