Setup Default General Preferences - Chart Tab

The Chart user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on specific areas of the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the Chart tab. In theDefault Word Processorfield, select one of the following to use as the default processor when creating notes in patient charts: Wordpad Word ® In theEncounter List Default Displaysection, select from the following options for the default display of encounters in patient charts: Encounter Date: view encounters listed by date. Encounter Number (default): Select this check box to view encounters listed by number. Both: view encounters listed by date and number. Note: You must select at least one check box. Setup Default General Preferences - Advisor Tab

The Advisor user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the display of the Advisor window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the Advisor tab. To automatically display theAdvisorwindow after logging in toNextGen® Enterprise PM, select theShow upon logoncheck box. To automatically display theAdvisorwindow after changing practices inNextGen® Enterprise PM, select theShow after practice changecheck box. In the list on the left, select the check boxes for sections to display on the left side of theAdvisorwindow. In the list on the right, select the check boxes for sections to display on the right side of theAdvisorwindow. To change the order that sections display on either sides of theAdvisorwindow, select a section name in the list, and then selectorbuttons to move the section name. Set up AutoFlow Preferences

TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments. Default AutoFlow sequences for all users in the practice are selected by location in yourAutoFlowpractice preferences. You can also select AutoFlow sequences by location in your user preferences. User-level settings override practice-level settings. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General. User preferences Autoflow tab Select the AutoFlow tab. Setting Up AutoFlow

To set up the AutoFlow feature: Create AutoFlow Sequence master files in File Maintenance. Assign the AutoFlow sequences created in File Maintenance to specific practice locations on the AutoFlow Sequences tab in Practice Preferences. Note: You can set default user preferences for AutoFlow that override the practice-level settings in Practice Preferences. Create or Modify an AutoFlow Sequence AutoFlow sequences enable you to set the sequence for a series of actions that process encounters for patient check-in and check-out. You must create an AutoFlow Sequences master file for each AutoFlow sequence that the practice uses. AutoFlow Practice Preferences The AutoFlow Practice Preferences enable you to select an Autoflow Sequences Master File that contains a series of actions for processing encounters during check-in and check-out processes. AutoFlow Sequences

The AutoFlow Sequences master file gives you the flexibility to set up NextGen® Enterprise PM to match your clinic's workflow. It enables you to select and set the sequence for a series of actions for processing encounters for patient check-in and check-out. You can assign these AutoFlow Sequences to locations and as the default sequences for users. Set AutoFlow Sequences Add NextGen PxP Portal Enrollment Workflow to the AutoFlow Sequence You can add the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment workflows to the AutoFlow Sequence so that practice users can send enrollment invitation email to patients from NextGen® Enterprise PM.
