Set up AutoFlow Preferences

TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments.

Default AutoFlow sequences for all users in the practice are selected by location in yourAutoFlowpractice preferences. You can also select AutoFlow sequences by location in your user preferences. User-level settings override practice-level settings.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General.

  3. Select the AutoFlow tab.
  4. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in theAutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Check-in/Create Encounter"andAutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Checkout"sections, do the following:
    • In the<All Locations>row, select theAutoFlow Sequenceyou use at all locations in the practice.
    • In the location specific rows, select the sequence you use at each location in the practice, if different from the<All Locations>sequence.
  5. To save changes and close the window, selectOK.
