Assign Practice-Level AutoFlow Sequences

You can assign AutoFlow sequences to specific locations for the practice in Practice Preferences. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice > AutoFlow > Sequences tab. To apply an AutoFlow Sequence for check-in or when a user creates an encounter, do one of the following in the AutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Check-in/Create Encounter" section: For all locations, select a sequence in the All Locations row. For a specific location, select a sequence in the location's row. To apply an AutoFlow Sequence for check-out, repeat the previous step in the AutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Checkout" section. AutoFlow Practice Preferences

The AutoFlow Practice Preferences enable you to select an Autoflow Sequences Master File that contains a series of actions for processing encounters during check-in and check-out processes. You can apply a sequence to all locations or to individual ones. You can also set default user preferences for autoflow that override these practice-level settings. Set up Chart Preferences

You can configure specific areas of a patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Chart tab. User preferences Chart tab In theDefault Word Processorfield, select one of the following to use as the default processor when creating notes in patient charts: Wordpad Word ® In theEncounter List Default Displaysection, select from the following options for the default display of encounters in patient charts: Encounter Date: view encounters listed by date. Set up AutoFlow User Preferences

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the AutoFlow tab. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in the respective sections, do the following: In the <All Locations> row, select the AutoFlow Sequence you use at all locations in the practice. In the location specific rows, select the sequence you use at each location in the practice, if different from the <All Locations> sequence. Note: A location-specific sequence overrides the <All Locations> sequence. Select OK to save the changes and close the window. Note: User-level settings override practice-level settings. Setting Up AutoFlow

To set up the AutoFlow feature: Create AutoFlow Sequence master files in File Maintenance. Assign the AutoFlow sequences created in File Maintenance to specific practice locations on the AutoFlow Sequences tab in Practice Preferences. Note: You can set default user preferences for AutoFlow that override the practice-level settings in Practice Preferences. TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments.
