Alerts Table

The Alerts table shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. The Alerts table is the main section of the Alerts View that shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. Image of the Alerts table. Column Description A Status Indicates whether the alert is enabled or disabled. B Name The name of the alert. C Id The unique ID for the alert. D Triggered The trigger count for the alert. This is the number of times the condition for the alert has been satisfied, but not necessarily how many alerts have been sent out. If you have multiple actions set on an alert, it may trigger once but send out multiple alerts. This number can be cleared out by using the Clear Trigger Count task. E Alerted For enabled alerts, the number of times the alert has taken action (e.g. sent an email) since it was last enabled. F Current Level The current escalation level for the alert. Alerts Log

The alerts log pane records information about each time an alert is sent out. The alerts log appears as a pane on the bottom half of the monitoring view and shows information about each time an alert is sent out. Image of the alerts log pane You can perform the following actions in the lower toolbar of the pane: Select the Pause icon to pause or resume the log. Select the Clear icon to clear the log. Use the Log Size field to specify the maximum number of alert log entries to show and select the checkmark to apply your changes. The following table provides descriptions for the columns in the alerts log pane. Column Description Timestamp The date/time that the alert action was taken. Alert The name of the alert that the log entry is for. Group The action group under which the alert action was taken. Channel The channel name for which the alert was triggered, if available. Connector The connector name for which the alert was triggered, if available. Information Currently an unused column

The Alert Tasks pane includes a list of context-specific actions that you can perform for an alert. Overview of the Edit Alert View

You can use the Edit Alert view to configure or modify alerts. The Edit Alert view is where alerts are configured and modified. After an alert is saved, it appear on the Alerts view, which is like a dashboard for your currently configured alerts. Image of the Edit Alert window At the top of the editing view, you can set the alert name, whether it is enabled or disabled. The rest of the view is split up into the following sections. Trigger Conditions Alert trigger conditions define the logic that triggers an alert. Enabled Channels The Enabled Channels section enables you to decide which channels and connectors may trigger an alert Escalation Levels Escalation levels provide visual feedback in the Alerts View to see which alerts need actions taken on them. Action Groups Action Groups enable you to separate actions so that your alert only takes a particular action under some conditions, and perhaps other actions under other conditions. Alerts Panel

The grid in the Alerts panel displays all alerts that have been set up. The Description column describes the usage scenario that causes the alert to fire. The Message column shows the text of the alert message. The When column shows the template in the workflow where the alert fires. The Visit Set column shows which types of visits the alert will fire for. The Enabled column shows whether the alert has been enabled to fire ('Locked' indicates an alert that always fires and cannot be disabled). The Override column indicates whether an override has been configured for the alert. If there is an override (Yes), then when you select the alert, you see the conditions of the override in the grid in the Alerts Overrides panel. Most of the alerts are set to Enabled, and the system prevents you from disabling them due to regulatory or documentation requirements. If you select a row in the grid and the Enable checkbox becomes unavailable, you cannot turn off the alert. Search for an Alert Filter
