You can calculate a two-digit score in the Interpretation of Results section on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE-Q) template.
The first digit of the score is the number of Yes answers in the Original Ten ACE Questionnaire panel. The second digit of the score is the number of Yes answers in the Additional Early Life Stressors panel. If you do not answer the questions in the Original Ten ACE Questionnaire panel, an application message appears indicating that the score cannot be calculated.
Based on the score calculated, an interpretation of
Anticipatory Guidance or
Refer to Treatment appears in the
Interpretation field. When the combined score in the
Total Score field is 3 or less and no relevant symptomatology check boxes are selected, the
Anticipatory Guidance value appears as the
Interpretation value by default. If the combined score in the
Total Score field is between 1-3 and has at least one relevant symptomatology check box selected or if the combined score is 4 or more, the
Refer to Treatment value appears as the
Interpretation value by default. To select a different interpretation from the list, you can edit the default
Interpretation value. The following table describes the interpretation status based on the score:

If you select Yes for atleast one 1 question in the Original Ten Questionnaire panel and select Yes for atleast 2 questions in the Additional Early Lift Stressors panel; and select nothing in the Relevant Symptomatology panel, the Total Score appears as 1-2. The combined Total Score is 3 (1+2=3). Therefore, the Anticipatory Guidance value appears as the Interpretation value by default.
