Insert Radio Button

When you are logged in as KBM admin in Template Editor, you can modify the properties of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. You need to set the Universal Preference for Enable Radio Button Clearing to True in System Administrator to enable users to clear a selected radio button. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. In Template Editor, drag Radio Button from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Radio Button window opens. In Table, the template name appears if the table is saved. Do one of the following: To create fields that are native to the table associated with this template, leave Table blank. To share fields with another template, select that template from Table. To create a local template field, select local from Table. In Field, do one of the following. Insert Check Box

In Template Editor, drag CheckBox from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Checkbox window opens. In Table, the template name appears if the table is saved. Do one of the following: To create fields that are native to the table associated with this template, leave Table blank. To share fields with another template, select a template from Table. To create a local template field, select local from Table. In Field, do one of the following. To create a new field, enter the name in Field. You can use up to 30 alphanumeric characters. Do not begin the name with a number or underscore or include any spaces. To share a field from another template, select that template from Table and then from Field, select the field you want to use. In Type, do one of the following: Select Text for the alphabetic characters. Selec

Insert a Button Field

Drag the Button icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert a Button window opens. In the Caption box, enter the text to appear on the button. You can enter the % symbol in the Caption box to replace the numeric values. The % takes the value from the start number and number of buttons. Note: Instead of entering the caption here, you can use in-place caption editing to enter the caption directly in the field after you have created it. To reposition and resize the field on the template, do the following: Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates in the Position boxes. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current dimensions displayed in the Size boxes. To apply a style to the button, select the applicable check boxes under Styles. Use In-place Field Caption Editing

You can enter a caption directly in a selected label, push button, radio button, check box, or active text field in place of entering it in field property. Fields with captions are transparent in Template Editor. Note: You cannot change field captions on NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To use in-place caption editing when you create a field, do the following: Leave the caption blank in the Insert field window. After you create the field, select the field on the template, and enter the caption. To remove the caption you just entered, select Undo or select CTRL+Z. To use in-place caption editing to edit an existing field caption, do the following: Select the field on the template and enter the caption. The new caption overwrites the existing caption. Insert an Active Image Field

To enable an active image, set up triggers for each of the active regions within an active image. Drag the Active Image icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Active Image window opens. From the Image list, select the image you want. A preview of the selected image appears. Note: All active images must be created using the Image Region Editor Utility. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Image Region Editor Utility Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To reposition the field on the template, enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates displayed in the Position boxes. Note: The Auto Size check box is selected permanently by default. To hide the active image when the template is opened, select the Hidden check box. Select the check box for the border Style.
