Set Scheduling Preferences for Resources

You can customize the display order of resources on the following windows in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Appointment Lookup Appointment Search Ahead Patient Wait List Item Recall Plan Maintenance Appointment Reminders If no selections are made in the Preferred resources of the Resources tab, all resources appear in alphabetic alphabetical order on the above windows. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Resources tab. Appointment Scheduling Preferences

Appointment Scheduling Preferences control how specific functions and tasks work in the Appointment Book in NextGen® Enterprise PM. While some settings are strictly for customizing the display, others affect the application behavior. You must complete these settings before opening the Appointment Book for the first time. In File Maintenance, scheduling preferences can be defined in the Default User Prefs - Scheduling master file, and then assigned to groups of users or individual users in System Administrator. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can modify your own scheduling preferences in Admin > Preferences > User > Scheduling. Set Scheduling Preferences for Daily View

You can choose settings that affect the display of appointments in the Daily View of the Appointment Book in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. Appointment scheduling preferences window - Daily view In Appointment Scheduling Preferences, select the Daily View tab. In Show the following items for an appointment, select one or more of the items to appear on appointments that take up multiple time slots in Daily View. Set Scheduling Preferences for Events

You can customize the display order of events and event chains in the Appointment Book in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If no selections are made on this tab, all events and event chains appear in alphabetical order. Note: If the Only show category specific events for appointment start time/resource selected option is selected on the General tab, only those events in their associated category appear in alphabetical order. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Events tab. In the Select your preferred events section, select your preferred events. To set the display order for your preferred events, select an event, and then select promote or demote buttons to move the event up or down in the list. Set Scheduling Preferences for Multi View

On the Multi View tab, you can establish which resources you can schedule. You can set the order of the resources on the multi-view Appointment Book, and also specify how many resources to display at one time. Note: A default multi-view group exists that you can rename, or you can add more groups. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. In Appointment Scheduling Preferences, select the Multi View tab. Appointment scheduling preferences Multi View In Multi-View Groups, select the open menu icon, and then select New. The New Multi-View Group window opens. Multi -iew group Enter a name for the new multi-view group, and then select OK. The group name appears in the Multi-View Groups field. Set Scheduling Preferences for Tooltips

You can activate a customized tooltip that appears when hovering over an appointment for a specified number of seconds in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information on custom tooltips, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Appointment Scheduling User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Tooltip tab. Tooltips tab In the Displays after [n] seconds field, select the number of seconds you want NextGen® Enterprise PM to wait before displaying the tooltip in the Appointment Book. Note: The default setting of 0 seconds disables and prevents the tooltip from appearing. In the Select your custom tooltip items section, you can select the items to display in the tooltip.
