Credit Card on File - TSYS Express Processing

TSYS Express processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments by utilizing a unique token ID. This feature expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile window > Credit Card on File tab. More than one credit card can be stored on the patient's account in NextGen® Enterprise PM Only one credit card can be active A blue push-pin displays on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window when an active credit card is on file for a patient. Review or Modify Card Data

The Credit Card on File tab displays data for all of the credit cards on file for an account. You can add, modify, hide or unhide data on this tab. The application allows you to enter data for multiple cards but only one card can be the active card. Access the Account Profile and select the Credit Card on File tab. Select the desired row to edit in the Account Profile. To open the Credit Card on File Assignment window, select the open menu button and select Open. The Credit Card on File Assignment window opens. Review or modify the following information on this window: Active card on File: This check box is preselected if this is the active card on file. Payment Method: This radio button is pre-selected and is unavailable for editing. Key is selected. Card Number: Displays the last four digits of the card number. Expiration MM/YY: Displays the month and year the card expires. Cardholder Name: Displays the name of the cardholder. Card Type: Displays the type of card, for example VISA, M

Saving Account Credit Card on File Information

You can enter and save information related to a patient's credit card for payment processing on the Credit Card on File tab under Account Profile. The Credit Card on File tab is available only if you have selected the Save Credit Card Token ID on file option under Payment Processing in Practice Preferences. Credit Card on File tab You can use the Print Consent Form option for the patient's approval for saving the credit card information. A pushpin indicator appears next to the tab when a card is added in Credit Card on File and activated. Note: A patient can have multiple cards on file but only one card can be active. Process a Credit Card on File Payment for TSYS Express using a VeriFone Device

Before you begin Before you can process a patient's payment, you must activate a batch. You can enter the payment information on the Payment Entry window only after activating the batch. TSYS Express enables you to process an electronic payment using a credit card on file for a patient. To open thePayment Entrywindow, do the following: InNextGen® Enterprise PM, clickPosting. TheBatch Postingwindow opens. Right-click a batch and selectActive Batch. Double-click the active batch. ThePayment Entrywindow opens. Select the relevant patient or enter the encounter number. Do the following: In the Payer field, select Patient. In the Pay Amt field, enter the amount. In the Pay Code field, select the required transaction code. Note: The default transaction code does not appear if you select the Override Credit Card Payment Default Transaction Code check box in the Payment Processing preference on the Practice Preference window.
