Credit Card on File

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments. This feature expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile > Credit Card on File tab. Add a Credit Card on File Using Swipe Method

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing provides you with an option to store credit card data in the application using a unique token ID. You can view the saved credit card data for a patient on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window. A push-pin icon appears on the Credit Card on File tab when a patient has an active credit card on file. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. To add a new credit card, select open menu and then select New. A window opens asking you to choose the method to save the credit card data. Note: If there are existing practice preferences and no user preferences are selected, the payment processing is done as follows: For practices with a single MID- The NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form opens on your default browser and you can enter the credit card number. For practices with multiple existing MID's- The Profile and Using Outlet options appear blank by defau

Person Accounts Overview

A person account is automatically created when the person is selected as the guarantor on a patient’s encounter for the first time, which results in statements generated for the person’s account that include encounters with outstanding self-pay balances. NextGen® Enterprise PM assigns each account a unique account number on the person's Account Profile window. The account number is also printed on statements sent to the guarantor. The Account Profile window for a person account includes the following tabs: Properties Encounter Detail Account Summary Credit Card on File Budget Notes Creating Person Accounts You can create a person account using the People Lookup and the Patient Lookup windows. Set Active Status for Accounts You can use the Account Profile window for a given patient to set an active account. Collect a Payment Using Credit Card on File

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed enables you to collect electronic payments using a credit card on file. You can use the active credit card for a patient. If the patient has more than one credit card on file, you can use the credit card specified by the patient or payer. Note: You must activate a batch before you process a patient's payment.
