Significant Events Reference List

You can view reports of the significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The reports that display significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM are Significant Events and Significant Event History. You can set up the following significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The events are categorized by enterprise, practice, and system levels. The following table describes the Enterprise Level Significant Events. Field Description Address Changed through "Change of Address Update" Process Tracks address changes that occur due to the Change of Address Update process (InNextGen® Enterprise PM,Filemenu >Processes>Change of Address Update). Client Defined <1-14> Tracks changes made to the 14 client defined fields in theModify Patient/Person Informationwindow on theClient Definedtab. NextGen Enterprise PM

Access the NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Significant Events. The Significant Event Information window opens. Select or deselect the check box for the desired System Level, Enterprise Level or Practice Level significant events. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Note: Significant events in the list that are disabled (grayed-out) can be selected for auiditing in the Advanced Audit Tool. Parent topic: Enable Significant Events

Significant Events Preferences

The application tracks selected significant events for logging and auditing purposes. Selections made for significant events at the Enterprise level take effect across all practices. Selections for events at the Practice level must be made for each practice. All significant events are enabled by default. Significant events can be viewed in NextGen® Enterprise PM in the Significant Events report and at the account, chart, and encounter levels. Activate Significant Events You can select and track the significant events through the Enterprise, System, or individual practices. Significant Events Security Rights You can control access to the Significant Events Preferences by modifying the users group security rights. Activate Significant Events

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Significant Events. The Significant Events Information window opens and displays the following columns: Significant Events: Lists all the significant events the application tracks. Level: Specifies whether the application tracks significant events across the entire enterprise or system or for individual practices.
