Person Demographics Module

The Person Demographics module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to add and update demographic data on the Add/Modify Person/Patient Information window. If Add is not selected, the user cannot add people or patients because the New button does not display in the Add/Modify Person/Patient Information window. If Update is not selected, the Add/Modify Person/Patient Information window opens with read-only information. Users cannot change any of the demographic fields. Note: The View, Print, and Delete settings are not available for this right. The Person Demographics module is used in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Chart/Demographics/Employer Operation

The Chart/Demographics/Employer Operations subgroup in System Administrator enables users to access various features related to patient chart, demographics, and employer information. The Chart Demographics/Employer Operation is used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Subgroup Used in Description Employer Addition NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to attach existing employers to a person record. Note: This Employer Addition operation right is different from the Employer module right listed under File Maintenance. The Employer module right enables users to create new employers and modify them in the Employer master file and create and modify them “on the fly” from the Patient demographics window. Add Patient Photos to Charts

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. In the Chart Details tab, under Patient Picture, select open menu Open Menu icon and then select New to scan a new photograph, or Open to edit the current photograph. The Scanning Device Input window opens. Scanning Device Input Window Place the patient's driver's license or ID card on the scanner and adjust the scan guide to fit the original. Under Front, select open record and then select Acquire. The scanned image appears in the Image window. Note: The image in the Selected Segment box appears in the Demographics tab.
