General Module

The General module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access various areas of a patient's chart. Subgroup Used in Description Client Defined NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Client Defined tab within a patient's demographic information. Patient Status NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Status tab within a patient's demographic information. Person Picture Module

The Person Picture module subgroup in the System Administrator application enable users to add, update, and print the picture of a person or patient for a chart. This permission does not affect insurance cards. A user who has no security at all to Person Picture: Cannot see the person picture in the Person/Patient Information window or on the PM Chart. Cannot open the Scanning Device Input window to scan an image. A user who has at least one of the securities: Can at least see the image on Person/Patient Maint or the NextGen® Enterprise PM Chart. The user must be able to see the picture to be able to access the other options allowed by the permissions. Has access to the Scanning Device Input window. Most of the security is tied to this window. A user who has both Add and Update security: Can scan or paste new images for a person or patient with no current image. PM Chart Module

The PM Chart module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access patient charts. When the Access Rights are removed, users cannot access the Chart toolbar button, the Lookup > Chart menu option, or the Tasks > Create Encounter menu option. Data Notification Module

The Data Notification module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables/disables practices with NextGen® Share installed and configured to use ADS, the ability to download data from the NextGen® Share Portal. View - When enabled, the Share button is displayed on the patient information card in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Add - When enabled, users can download data from the NextGen® Share Portal using the patient information bar. The Data Notification module is used in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. EHR Documents - Assigned Module

The EHR Documents - Assigned module subgroup in the System Administrator application lists the NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents that are selected to have the security modified. See, Select NextGen Enterprise Documents to Display on the Rights Tab. This right enables users to view, create, edit, delete, and print the individual documents or the entire group. Note: Do not clear the Add and View rights check boxes for EHR Documents Assigned module. If you clear the check boxes at the module level, users will not have access to the Document module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Add Demographics to Patient Profiles

You can add demographics such as the patient's general information, address, contact information, and insurance details. You can also specify if a person is a smoker or veteran on the Demographics tab of Add Person Information window. Additionally you can enroll the patient or person in the Enterprise Chart to view encounters from different practices in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: The optional and mandatory fields that appear on the Add Person Information window can be configured by your system administrator in Enterprise Preferences in File Maintenance. The mandatory fields appear in red color. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar select Lookup or People Lookup The Person Lookup window opens. Select New.
