EHR Documents Operation

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Documents Operations Subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to perform actions in Document Builder. Subgroup Used in Description Add Document Addendums NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add an addendum to a previously approved patient document in the TX Text document viewer only. Note: : The Save As RTF Universal Preference must be set to True. Edit Category Selections NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add a document to a category while they are generating the document. For items in the PAQ, you can perform: View items not ready for sign-off. Accept an item and sign-off on it with or without actions. Assign other users to sign off the document. Add comments. Reject an item. Reassign an item. Create a task for an item. Send documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. Place the patient on a recall list that is automatically sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Managing Clinical Tasks

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can perform clinical tasks, sign-off documents, manage patient appointments, and manage correspondence with patients enrolled in NextGen PxP Portal.You can also alert a provider about specific concerns of a patient. The Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) tab in the Workflow module enables you an easy sign-off capability for documents, images, notes, NextGen Document Management images, orders, SAP® Crystal Reports®, and Health Information Exchange (HIE) documents. In the Workflow module, multiple providers from the patient's care team can sign off the same document sent by the encounter provider to each designated signee's Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Pending PAQ tab. Only the encounter provider or the provider's delegate can initiate multi-user sign-off and select additional signees.
