Medical Records Module Security Rights

The Medical Records module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access the Medical Records module. Security Right Used in Description Allergies NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Allergies module. Appointment Status Colors NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to change the color preferences for appointment status. Email NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add an email to a patient's chart within Workflow. Graphing NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Graphing functionality. Imaging NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Images module. Medications NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Medications module. Orders NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Orders module and the CPOE Order search bar. Patient Alerts NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to access the Patient Alerts module. NextGen® Enterprise EHR Pharmacy Destination Search Module

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Pharmacy Destination Search Modules subgroup in the System Administrator application enables NextGen® Enterprise EHR users to: Search and download an electronically enabled pharmacy within the Send Prescription window. Access the Add Pharmacy to System button from the manage patient pharmacy link. Download a pharmacy without exiting NextGen® Enterprise EHR and logging into File Maintenance. Select and add a single pharmacy. For users to be able to search and download a pharmacy, the following security right must be enabled: Operations > Medications > Allow Pharmacy Downloads. EHR Documents - Assigned Module

The EHR Documents - Assigned module subgroup in the System Administrator application lists the NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents that are selected to have the security modified. See, Select NextGen Enterprise Documents to Display on the Rights Tab. This right enables users to view, create, edit, delete, and print the individual documents or the entire group. Note: Do not clear the Add and View rights check boxes for EHR Documents Assigned module. If you clear the check boxes at the module level, users will not have access to the Document module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Documents Operations Subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to perform actions in Document Builder. Subgroup Used in Description Add Document Addendums NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add an addendum to a previously approved patient document in the TX Text document viewer only. Note: : The Save As RTF Universal Preference must be set to True. Edit Category Selections NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add a document to a category while they are generating the document. Export NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to export NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents from one NextGen database to another. Import NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to import NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents into a NextGen® Enterprise database from another NextGen® Enterprise database. Download a Pharmacy in the Medications Module

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. In the Pharmacy Search window, select Add Pharmacy to System. The Find a Pharmacy window opens. Find a Pharmacy Enter your search criteria. You can use the percent (%) and asterisk (*) symbols as wild card characters to represent one or more characters (for example, wal*). Select Search. Pharmacies that match the search criteria appear in the Results section. Find a Pharmacy The results are grouped and listed by how the pharmacies are known to the system. The available groups are: New to the System. Pharmacies new to the system that do not match a record in the Pharmacies master file. Can be Mapped. Pharmacies new to the system that can be automatically matched to manually-entered pharmacies in the Pharmacies master file. Expired. Pharmacies in the system that are marked as expired by Surescripts. Expired pharmacies cannot be used for ePrescribing because all cross-referenced links are broken. Already Mapped in the System. Down
