NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Upgrade Utility	Enables the access and operation of the utility. If this permission is not set, an error message displays when you attempt to run the utility.

EHR Documents Operation

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Documents Operations Subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to perform actions in Document Builder. Subgroup Used in Description Add Document Addendums NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add an addendum to a previously approved patient document in the TX Text document viewer only. Note: : The Save As RTF Universal Preference must be set to True. Edit Category Selections NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add a document to a category while they are generating the document. Export NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to export NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents from one NextGen database to another. Import NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to import NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents into a NextGen® Enterprise database from another NextGen® Enterprise database. Biometric Authentication Operation

The Biometric Authentication Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users biometric authentication for the following operations: Subgroup Used in Description EHR System Sign-on NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to sign on to NextGen® Enterprise EHR by using biometric authentication Fingerprinting Caching NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to cache their fingerprints on the hard drive of tablet PCs for validation Lock/Unlock/Delete Encounters NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to lock, unlock, and delete encounters by using biometric authentication. Subgroup Used in Description Edit Category Selections NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to change the view categories on-the-fly when adding a new image. Export NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to export a NextGen® Enterprise EHR image file to a .tif file outside of NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Signatures NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to capture E-Signatures and place them onto images through the Imaging Module. Set up Security Access Rights for NextGen® Enterprise

To download and upload files to NextGen Electronic Data Interchange (NextGen EDI), users must have the appropriate security access rights. Access System Administrator. The System Administrator window opens. On the left, select to expand the appropriate Enterprise and Practice. Select the desired user Group within the practice. Select the Rights tab. Select to expand Operations, and then NextGenEDI. Select the appropriate Access Rights (Yes or No) for each of the following: Download Available Files: Enables users to download files from the NextGen EDI website. Upload Letter Export File: Enables users to upload letter export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. Upload Statement Export File: Enables users to upload statement export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM to the NextGen EDI website. To save changes, select Save, and then Update. The Medical Summary/Data Share module subgroup in the System Administrator application controls access to features of the Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility. Subgroup Used in Description Allow Options Edit NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility The option enables users to access the Medical Summary Utility Settings window. Allow Updating Practice Filters NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility This option enables users to define practice filters (for a specific practice) in File Maintenance. When this option is turned on or set to Yes, users can create, update, or delete practice filters. Include Excluded Data NextGen® Enterprise EHR Data Share module and Medical Summary Utility This option enables users to include excluded data and confidential lab information in the Medical Summary Utility when generating documents.
