Managing Enterprise and Practice Setup

The System Administrator application provides system administrators with a way to set up, maintain, manage, and secure their NextGen® Enterprise systems. One of the most important aspects of system maintenance and security is the management of user accounts, user groups, and the rights granted to user accounts.

The System Administrator application allows you to do the following:

  • Set up Universal Preferences.
  • Set up the use of BLOBs (Binary Large Objects), Biometrics, and the Provider Approval Queue.

  • Manage the enterprise and practice structure.
  • Create and manage group structure.
  • Create and maintain users and user information. A user must belong to a group.
  • Set up and maintain rights and permissions. There are no individual user rights. Users have the same rights as the groups to which they are assigned.
