Configure NextGen® Background Business Processor Security Rights

For each group of users who access NextGen® Background Business Processor, you can set Module and Operation rights that control what actions the group of users is permitted to perform in System Administrator.

  1. In System Administrator, highlight the user group for which you want to set rights.
  2. Select the Rights tab.
  3. Expand the Modules folder.
  4. Locate and expand the Background Business Processor folder.
    The following rights are available:
    • Jobs: Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor jobs.
    • Packages: Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor packages.
    • Schedules : Allows users to create and modify NextGen® Background Business Processor schedules
  5. For each right, you can set one or more options:
    • View
    • Add
    • Update
    • Delete
    • Print
  6. Expand the Operations folder.
  7. Locate and expand the Background Business Processor folder.
    The following rights are available:
    • Change Preferences
    • Change Server Availability
    • Delete Package History
    • Install BBP Engine Service
    • Kill Running Package
    • Launch BBP Manager
    • Queue Package
    • Run Stored Procedures
    • Run User-Specified Applications
    • Start/Stop BBP Engine Service
    • View Package History
    • View Packages for All Practices
  8. Assign a Yes or No to each right to control which actions a user or user group can or cannot perform.
