Access the System Administrator Application

Log on to the NextGen® Enterprise application. Upon successful authentication of your User ID and Password, the System Administrator application appears. The current database connection displays at the bottom of the window. Note: The application's appearance and a number of functions are similar to those of Windows Explorer. The Main window displays the Directory (list of enterprises, practices, user groups and users) on the left side and the Details window on the right side of the window. Managing Enterprise and Practice Setup

The System Administrator application provides system administrators with a way to set up, maintain, manage, and secure their NextGen® Enterprise systems. One of the most important aspects of system maintenance and security is the management of user accounts, user groups, and the rights granted to user accounts. The System Administrator application allows you to do the following: Set up Universal Preferences. Set up the use of BLOBs (Binary Large Objects), Biometrics, and the Provider Approval Queue. Manage the enterprise and practice structure. Create and manage group structure. Create and maintain users and user information. A user must belong to a group. Advisor Operation

The Advisor Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access various sections of the NextGen® Enterprise PM Advisor window. Subgroup Used in Description Accounts Receivable NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Accounts Receivable section of the Advisor window. Advisor Update NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access and run the Advisor Update process from the File menu > Processes. The process updates the totals on the Advisor page, and it normally runs automatically each night.
