Encounters Operation

Pre-List EncountersNextGen® Enterprise PMEnables users to pre-list encounters for review before they are turned over to a collection agency and put in "bad debt" status.
Recalculate In Progress EncounterNextGen® Enterprise PMEnables users to recalculate all charges on an "In Progress" encounter. When users who have this security right right-click an encounter, the Recalculate In Progress Encounter menu item appears.

If users do not have this security right,NextGen® Enterprise PM still automatically recalculates the charges when an encounter status changes from "In Progress" to "Unbilled".

Reinstate Encounter/ InvoiceNextGen® Enterprise PMEnables users to reinstate encounters and invoices from bad debt (Collections) status.
Unlock Patient EncountersNextGen® Enterprise EHREnables users to unlock a previously locked patient encounter.
Update Encounter Remarks Enables users to access the Remarks filed on Encounter Maintenance>General tab to add or update remarks on an encounter.
Update Patient EncounterNextGen® Enterprise PM &NextGen® Enterprise EHREnables users to modify encounters in Encounter Maintenance.
