You can verify patients' insurance updates that are generated through NextGen® PxP Portal or the NextGen® Patient Engage workflow. You can then accept and reconcile the insurance information updates to NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- In PxP Portal Integration Tool, select ReviewQ,
.
The ReviewQ page opens displaying the updated patient records.
- To search for an update record, enter one or more of the search criteria, and then select Search.
The updated records appear.
- In the Update Type column, select Insurance
for the record you want to review.
The
Insurance tab opens displaying the guarantor and insurance data updates for the selected patient. You can also select the
Demographics or
Health Data tab to view the respective updates.
- Under Guarantor, verify the patient's guarantor information in EHR Data and Platform Data.
- To map the patient-entered guarantor to one in NextGen® Enterprise EHR do the following:
- In the Platform Data section, select Map.
The
Map Guarantor column appears.
Note: If the patient does not have any recorded guarantor information in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can select Guarantor not in EHR and directly go to step 4(c).
- Search for a guarantor to map in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Select a guarantor.
PxP Portal Integration Toolmaps the guarantor information.
- Select Accept.
PxP Portal Integration Tool saves and reconciles the updated guarantor information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Under Insurance, verify the patient's insurance information in EHR Data and Platform Data.
- To map the patient-entered insurance to a payer in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following:
- In the Platform Data section, select Map.
The Map Payer column appears.
- Search for a payer to map in NextGen® Enterprise EHR using the search field.
- Select an insurance provider.
PxP Portal Integration Tool maps the insurance information.
- Select Accept.
PxP Portal Integration Tool saves the updated patient information and reconciles it to NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
When you review and accept all the changes on the Insurance tab, the next tab with pending updates opens by default and the Insurance tab is turned off.
