You can turn on MFA security for your practice NextGen® PxP Portal users during logon in Site Generator.
- Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration.
The Site Generator page opens.
- Search for and select your practice.
- From Administrator - Setup/Access, select .
The Manage Your Online Solutions page opens.
- Select the Activate Solution checkbox next to Multi-Factor Authentication, and then select Confirm Your Changes.
The Multi-Factor Authentication option appears on the Site Generator home page under Portal Solutions.
- Select Multi-Factor Authentication, and in Multi-Factor Authentication Settings, make the necessary changes, and then select Save.
By default, MFA is turned on for both mobile and email. You can turn off email authentication if necessary. To ensure account security, users are prompted to complete MFA every 30 days by default. However, you can change the duration to 60 or 90 days.
MFA is turned on for your NextGen® PxP Portal users.
