Enroll as a Trusted Representative

Before you begin The trusted representative must have received an invitation from an adult patient. In the invitation email, select Sign Up!. The Please Identify the Patient page opens. Patient verification page Enter the zip code and date of birth of the patient, and then select Continue. The Welcome! page opens. Do one of the following: If the trusted representative already has a NextGen® PxP Portal account, enter the username, password, relationship with the patient, and then select Enter Portal. If the trusted representative does not have a NextGen® PxP Portal account: Enter the first name, last name, email address, relationship with the patient, and then select Continue. The Create Security Details window opens. Account security information page Enter values in the fields and select Enter Portal. The Trusted representative NextGen® PxP Portal account is created and you are logged on to NextGen® PxP Portal automatically on behalf of the patient who invited you. Parent topic: Truste

Change Access Rights of Trusted Representatives

Patients can modify the access rights or remove a trusted representative from their NextGen® PxP Portal account. Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then select Account. The Account page opens. To remove a trusted representative from the NextGen® PxP Portal account, select Unlink corresponding to the trusted representative. To modify the access rights for a trusted representative, select Edit corresponding to the trusted representative. A page opens displaying the details of the trusted representative. In the Manage Access section, select the access rights you want to assign. Select one of the following permissions for the trusted representative. Configuring Trusted Representatives for a Patient

To verify the linked dependent and trusted representatives for a patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account, you can use the Family Management section on the Patient Dashboard. You can also configure the access rights for trusted representatives on behalf of the patient. Linking Accounts with Guardians and Trusted Representatives

Practices can assign a guardian to access and manage a dependent's portal account if the guardian's portal account is linked to the dependent's portal account. The practice sends an invitation to the guardian's email address to create a guardian account. Adult patients can assign a trusted representative to view their health information and act on their behalf in NextGen® PxP Portal. The patient sends an invitation to the trusted representative's email address to create a trusted representative account. Practices can send invitations automatically to patients or guardians and choose not to send invites to patients in a specific age group. Note: Patients of any age range can also choose to enroll manually. Invite a Trusted Representative

Before you begin The modules for a practice must be activated on the Manage Your Online Solutions page in Site Generator. By default, a trusted representative receives complete access to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. You can specify the active modules for a practice that can be accessed by a trusted representative. Log on to Practice Portal. To open the Patient Dashboard page, search for and select a patient. In the Family Management section, select Invite New.The Family Management section provides a list of trusted representatives, as well as options to unlink each one or send a password reset The Invite Trusted Representative page opens.
