Invite a Trusted Representative

Before you begin

The modules for a practice must be activated on the Manage Your Online Solutions page in Site Generator.

By default, a trusted representative receives complete access to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. You can specify the active modules for a practice that can be accessed by a trusted representative.

  1. Log on to Practice Portal.
  2. To open the Patient Dashboard page, search for and select a patient.
  3. In the Family Management section, select Invite New.
    The Family Management section provides a list of trusted representatives, as well as options to unlink each one or send a password reset

    The Invite Trusted Representative page prompts you to enter contact information and manage access for the representative

  4. Enter the first name, last name, email, mobile number, and relationship of the trusted representative.
  5. In the Manage Access section, select one of the following access types for the trusted representative:
    • View and perform actions. For complete access to all modules.
    • Manage access per category. For access to selected modules.
    • View only. For view-only access to all modules.

      If you select this option, the modules available to the practice on the Manage Your Online Solutions page in Site Generator are displayed.

      The Manage Access section enables you to control overall access or access to specific categories

  6. Select Send Invitation.
    The invitation is sent by email to the trusted representative.
