Invite a Trusted Representative

Before you begin The modules for a practice must be activated on the Manage Your Online Solutions page in Site Generator. By default, a trusted representative receives complete access to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. You can specify the active modules for a practice that can be accessed by a trusted representative. Log on to Practice Portal. To open the Patient Dashboard page, search for and select a patient. In the Family Management section, select Invite New.The Family Management section provides a list of trusted representatives, as well as options to unlink each one or send a password reset The Invite Trusted Representative page opens. The Invite Trusted Representative page prompts you to enter contact information and manage access for the representative Enter the first name, last name, email, mobile number, and relationship of the trusted representative. Configuring Trusted Representatives for a Patient

To verify the linked dependent and trusted representatives for a patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account, you can use the Family Management section on the Patient Dashboard. You can also configure the access rights for trusted representatives on behalf of the patient. Change Access Rights of Trusted Representatives

Patients can modify the access rights or remove a trusted representative from their NextGen® PxP Portal account. Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then select Account. The Account page opens. To remove a trusted representative from the NextGen® PxP Portal account, select Unlink corresponding to the trusted representative. To modify the access rights for a trusted representative, select Edit corresponding to the trusted representative. A page opens displaying the details of the trusted representative. In the Manage Access section, select the access rights you want to assign. Select one of the following permissions for the trusted representative. View and perform actions provides complete access to all modules. View only provides view-only access to all modules. Manage access per category access to selected modules. Viewing and Updating Patient Information

The Patient Dashboard page enables you to review and update a patient's information. You can open the Patient Dashboard page from the patient search results on the My Home page. The Patient Dashboard page displays the following information: Demographics Family management Patient utilities Completed forms Recent encounters Viewing Patient Demographics You can view the general information of a NextGen® PxP Portal patient. Managing Accounts for Guardians and Trusted Representatives in Practice Portal

Practice can invite guardians and trusted representatives for patients using the Family Management section in Practice Portal. Practices can also edit the access rights of a trusted representative on behalf of a patient. Practices can manage the following types of patients using the Patient Dashboard in Practice Portal: Inactive Underage Patient This type of patient is not old enough to age out, and the patient's parent or guardian has not completed the enrollment using the invitation email. The Patient's age is under the age-out age configured for this practice icon indicates that the patient is not old enough to age out. Active Underage Patient This type of patient is not old enough to age-out, and the patient's parent or guardian has accepted the invitation and activated the account. Your practice can manage the following scenarios associated with an active account for an underage patient: If the guardian has a NextGen® PxP Portal account, your practice can view the guardian patient
