Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Medications.
The Medication page opens displaying the active and inactive medications.
Select Rx request.
The Rx Request page opens.
The Location and Provider fields display the preferred location and provider selected in the My Account section.
Select the location and provider, and then select Continue.
Select a pharmacy from the list, and then select Continue.
Note: You can add a pharmacy to the list by selecting Add a pharmacy.
The Select Medications section opens displaying a list of active medications.
Do one of the following:
Note: Medications marked as Prescribed Elsewhere are not available for renewal. To view the Prescribed Elsewhere tooltip for the corresponding medications, you must install NextGen® PxP Portal Integration Tool v2.20.0.
In the medication list section, select the medication, and then select Continue.
To request a new medication, enter the medication name in Request a new medication for the matching medications.
You can select the medication from the list, and then select Continue.
Note: The Request a new medication field is not available for NextGen® Enterprise 6.2021.1 and earlier versions.
The Confirm your renew details section opens displaying the details you entered on the previous pages. You can edit the details if necessary.
Enter your comments, and then select Confirm.
A confirmation message appears stating that the medication renewal request is submitted successfully.
A copy of the renewal request is added to the Sent tab on the Messages page. To view the renewal request, you can select View in messages.
