Configure Appointment Request Routing Rules

You can set up routing rules for appointment requests sent by patients from NextGen® PxP Portal.
  1. In PxP Portal Integration Tool, select Message Routing icon.
    The Message Routing page opens.

  2. To view the routing rules configured for a particular provider and location, select the location and provider, and then select Search.
  3. Select the Appointment Request tab.
  4. For Set Default User, enter the routing type and routing name.
    Appointment requests are routed to this user or group if no routing rules are configured.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Select Add Group to add a routing rule.

  7. Select the location and provider, and then select Save icon to save the group.
  8. Select Add Route icon to add route for the rule.

  9. Select the routing type and name from the respective lists, and then select SaveSave icon
    The route ID for the selected routing name appears.
