How Site Generator Permissions Relate to the Practice Portal

Important points related to Site Genarator permissions which impacts Practice Portal: Every staff member does not have access to Practice Portal. The Project Lead at the practice should refer to the staff list tab of the PxP Workbook for a description of practice portal use cases to help determine who at the practice should have access. This tab also includes instructions for retrieving the unique User ID and password for staff members to access Practice Portal. The Personnel/Non-Provider list plays three key roles with the NextGen Integration and NextGen® PxP Portal. For users to have access to Practice Portal with their assigned configured solutions. All staff users are mapped in Site Generator staff list with their assigned NextGen User ID mapped to enable current replies to patients through the NextGen® PxP Portal Inbox. Workflow User Enabled at One Location for Question

When workflow user is enabled at one location for question, patient does not receive any dropdown menu to select. Set Up Ask A Staff Questions for Patient Communication

In Ask A Staff, which provides bi-directional patient communication, you can define an unlimited set of question labels. Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. From Portal Solutions, select Ask A Staff. The Ask A Staff Configuration Options page opens. To add a question label, select Add a New Entry. A new row labelled Click to Edit appears. To change the label name, select Edit Label. To enable providers to prescribe medications, document CPT®, and diagnostic codes, select the corresponding Allow Clinical check box. To add providers and staff members to the NextGen® PxP Portal website, select the corresponding Specific to Individuals check box. Add Personnel Type and Manage Permissions

You can set up permissions and solutions for the Personnel Type. You can also remove any unused Personnel Type. The Site Generator home page opens. Open Site Generator, and select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. From Administrator - Setup/Access, select Permissions and Personnel Type.The Manage Your Group Personnel Types page opens. Under Add a Personnel Type, select personnel type from the list. To add the personnel type, select Add Personnel Type.The Manage Solutions by Personnel Type page opens. Select option for the personnel type and solution from the drop down list. To discard the Personnel type, select Remove Personnel Type. To make the personnel type public, from the Administrative Support list, select Public. Select All to enable all the solutions for the selected personnel type, else select only required solutions. Select Return to Manage Personnel Types.The Personnel Type adds to the list with the provided permissions. To update the solutions, select Manage Solutions
