NextGen® PxP Portal Provider Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM

View NextGen® PxP Portal Document History

For a patient enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, when you send a document that is attached to the patient's chart, the system creates an audit trail. The system also records when the patient opens the document from the NextGen® PxP Portal website. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the Tool Bar, select People Lookup . The People Lookup window opens. Search for a patient and select the patient. For more information on searching for a patient, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. The Patient Chart window opens on the Patient Information tab. Select the Clinical History/Notes tab. In Topics, under the Chart Notes folder, select the Document Management folder. The contents of the Document Management folder appear in Details. To open an image in the Details pane, right-click the image, and then select Open. The image appears in a new window. Right-click the image and select View Patient Portal Document History. The

Share Personal Health Records

Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Health Records. The Health Record page opens displaying the Visits tab. Select the check box on the health record you want to share. Note: To select all the health records, select the Select all check box. Health record summary page Select Share. The Send Health Data page opens. Send Health Data page Select one of the following: Direct. Note: The Direct option sends the health information to the email address provided by the doctor, which is based on a secure messaging protocol for encrypting exchange of personal health information. The Enter Direct Address email address may contain the word "direct". Standard email. Note: The Standard email option sends the health information to the standard email address of the doctor. This option has a non-secure email address and can be intercepted and read by others. Patient must acknowledge that they understand and accept the risk. Select Send.

Request Personal Health Records

Before you begin Ensure that the Enable On Demand Health Data check box is selected on the Health Records page in Site Generator. Open NextGen® PxP Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Health Records. The Health Record page opens displaying the Visits tab. Select Request updated records. Health record summary page The Request updated records page opens. Request updated records page Do one of the following: To request personal health records for a specific time period, enter the start date and end date in Filter by date range. To request a consolidated personal health record, select the Request complete record check box. Select Request. A message appears indicating that the request is being processed by the practice. Select Close.
