For a patient enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, when you send a document that is attached to the patient's chart, the system creates an audit trail. The system also records when the patient opens the document from the NextGen® PxP Portal website.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- On the Tool Bar, select People Lookup

The People Lookup window opens.
- Search for a patient and select the patient.
The Patient Chart window opens on the Patient Information tab.
- Select the Clinical History/Notes tab.
- In Topics, under the Chart Notes folder, select the Document Management folder.
The contents of the Document Management folder appear in Details.
- To open an image in the Details pane, right-click the image, and then select Open.
The image appears in a new window.
- Right-click the image and select View Patient Portal Document History.
The Patient Portal Document History window opens.
- Select Close.
