Viewing the APSO Document

Use the APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document to quickly view a patient's progress and review the patient plan. With the APSO View side panel that slides in and out of view, you can see current and previous information of patients by generating the APSO document in real time. You can save and attach the generated document to a patient's chart.

The APSO document displays the most pertinent clinical information at the top. You can view the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs on the left sidebar. The Current APSO tab displays the current encounter information, and the Previous APSO tab displays the clinical information of the patient from the previous encounter.

You must configure your APSO view settings for your practice to generate the APSO document. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest APSO View Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

Additionally, you must map your visit set to a specialty in the Visit Set Config panel on the NTS System Config system template.

You can map the following visit sets to Physical Therapy:
  • Acupuncture
  • Athletic
  • PT
  • OT Massage
If your specialty does not appear in the Specialty picklist, you must add it on the Custom DB Picklist system template.
