You can generate an APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document based on the APSO View summary of a patient.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open a patient chart.
- Do one of the following:
- Create a new encounter.

Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Select an existing encounter.
- Select .
The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR window.
- Hover over and pin the Current APSO tab.
- Select Save.
A document containing the contents of the
Current APSO tab is saved with the name
APSO Summary to the selected encounter.
You can send the document to NextGen® PxP Portal for Provider Approval, and all other options available to the document items.
Important: After you have saved the APSO View summary to the encounter, the document displays data to the point when it is generated. If you switch templates or make changes to a template after the document is generated, the saved document will not reflect the changes.
