Open APSO View

Before you begin You must have a patient chart open to use APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the window. To display the contents of the tabs, point to the tabs. Select the pushpin icon at the top of the tab. The tab remains expanded and shares the window with the current template or module. To collapse the tab, you can select the pushpin icon again. APSO View

APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View is a side panel that slides in and out and enables you to see current and previous information of patients. This side panel generates a document in real time. You can save and attach the generated document to a patient's chart. APSO View contains the following tabs: Current APSO This tab displays patient's current encounter summary that can be saved as a document to the selected encounter. Previous APSO This tab displays patient's last encounter summary of the historical data, such as allergies and medications. The Current APSO tab refreshes when you save a template in an encounter. The information in these tabs are based on a stored procedure. APSO View comes with a default stored procedure and style sheet that displays general information about a patient and an encounter. Generate APSO View Document

You can generate an APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document based on the APSO View summary of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR window. Hover over and pin the Current APSO tab. Select Save. A document containing the contents of the Current APSO tab is saved with the name APSO Summary to the selected encounter. You can send the document to NextGen® PxP Portal for Provider Approval, and all other options available to the document items. Assign APSO View Trigger

You can assign the APSO View trigger in a template of Template Editor. The APSO View trigger refreshes or saves the APSO document to the current encounter of the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Template Editor. Select New from the File menu, and then select any template from the list of templates that appear. The template opens. Drag a field from the field toolbar to the template design area. The field properties appear on the right side of the template design area and displays Name and Type of the field. Right-click the field and select Trigger. The Triggers window opens. Select Add New. The Trigger Info window opens. From the Action list, select APSO View. The APSO View window opens. Select one of the following and select OK: Refresh Refreshes the APSO document. Save (refreshes before save) Saves the APSO document to the current encounter. In the Trigger Info window, select OK to save the changes. In the Triggers window, select OK and save the template. Parent topic: Setting
