Open APSO View

Before you begin You must have a patient chart open to use APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the window. To display the contents of the tabs, point to the tabs. Select the pushpin icon at the top of the tab. The tab remains expanded and shares the window with the current template or module. To collapse the tab, you can select the pushpin icon again. APSO View

APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View is a side panel that slides in and out and enables you to see current and previous information of patients. This side panel generates a document in real time. You can save and attach the generated document to a patient's chart. APSO View contains the following tabs: Current APSO This tab displays patient's current encounter summary that can be saved as a document to the selected encounter. Previous APSO This tab displays patient's last encounter summary of the historical data, such as allergies and medications. The Current APSO tab refreshes when you save a template in an encounter. The information in these tabs are based on a stored procedure. APSO View comes with a default stored procedure and style sheet that displays general information about a patient and an encounter. Assign APSO View Trigger

You can assign the APSO View trigger in a template of Template Editor. The APSO View trigger refreshes or saves the APSO document to the current encounter of the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Template Editor. Select New from the File menu, and then select any template from the list of templates that appear. The template opens. Drag a field from the field toolbar to the template design area. The field properties appear on the right side of the template design area and displays Name and Type of the field. Right-click the field and select Trigger. The Triggers window opens. Select Add New. The Trigger Info window opens. From the Action list, select APSO View. The APSO View window opens. Select one of the following and select OK: Refresh Refreshes the APSO document. Save (refreshes before save) Saves the APSO document to the current encounter. Viewing Patient Information and Generating Charts

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can search a patient, add or modify patient information, review patient's existing clinical data, and generate age-based growth charts. If your enterprise is enrolled in Population Health Sync, you can access data from it directly within NextGen® Enterprise EHR as well as from NextGen Population Health Analytics Solutions website. You can view available gaps-in-care and risk score data for a selected patient from the Patient Information bar. Viewing the APSO Document

Use the APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document to quickly view a patient's progress and review the patient plan. With the APSO View side panel that slides in and out of view, you can see current and previous information of patients by generating the APSO document in real time. You can save and attach the generated document to a patient's chart. The APSO document displays the most pertinent clinical information at the top. You can view the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs on the left sidebar. The Current APSO tab displays the current encounter information, and the Previous APSO tab displays the clinical information of the patient from the previous encounter. You must configure your APSO view settings for your practice to generate the APSO document. Set Up Stored Procedure and Style Sheet for a Specialty

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Select Admin > APSO View Settings. The APSO View Settings window opens. From the Specialty list, select a specialty. From the APSO View list, select a stored procedure. Note: Any custom stored procedure must have a custom.xsl file that corresponds to the custom stored procedure. The default style sheet (.xsl file) is used when a style sheet (.xsl file) is not defined and associated with the stored procedure and specialty in the settings. The stored procedure must include the following parameters for APSO View: enterprise_id practice_id person_id Enc_id EnterpriseChart Select the ellipses button next to the blank field. The Open File window opens, displaying all .xsl style sheets present in the user-defined folder for APSO View style sheets. Note: If you have placed a custom style sheet in this folder, you can select it from this folder. If you have not set up the universal preference for the APSO View .xsl path, an error message appea
