APSO View Specialties

APSO View supports the Family Practice specialty. When you define a stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty, the Current ASPO and Previous APSO tabs display information from certain fields that are relevant to the selected specialty. Note: You can have multiple specialties defined. Once a specialty is defined in the APSO View Settings, the Current ASPO and Previous APSO tabs open for a specialty based on the following: The specialty selected on the Intake template. Definition of a specialty set for a Provider in File Maintenance, if the specialty is not selected on the Intake template. If you do not select a specialty on the Intake template and assign the specialty to a Provider, the default stored procedure and style sheet are used for Current ASPO and Previous APSO views. Overview of APSO View Settings

If you have appropriate security rights to access the APSO View Settings (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective), you can modify the settings for the Current APSO tab. You can also set the stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty for the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs from the APSO View Settings. Generate APSO View Document

You can generate an APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document based on the APSO View summary of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR window. Hover over and pin the Current APSO tab. Select Save. A document containing the contents of the Current APSO tab is saved with the name APSO Summary to the selected encounter. You can send the document to NextGen® PxP Portal for Provider Approval, and all other options available to the document items. Before you begin You must have a patient chart open to use APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the window. To display the contents of the tabs, point to the tabs. Select the pushpin icon at the top of the tab. The tab remains expanded and shares the window with the current template or module. To collapse the tab, you can select the pushpin icon again. Viewing Patient Information and Generating Charts

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can search a patient, add or modify patient information, review patient's existing clinical data, and generate age-based growth charts. If your enterprise is enrolled in Population Health Sync, you can access data from it directly within NextGen® Enterprise EHR as well as from NextGen Population Health Analytics Solutions website. You can view available gaps-in-care and risk score data for a selected patient from the Patient Information bar. APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View is a side panel that slides in and out and enables you to see current and previous information of patients. This side panel generates a document in real time. You can also generate pediatric growth charts, growth charts from NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, and growth charts from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu. Viewing the APSO Document

Use the APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document to quickly view a patient's progress and review the patient plan. With the APSO View side panel that slides in and out of view, you can see current and previous information of patients by generating the APSO document in real time. You can save and attach the generated document to a patient's chart. The APSO document displays the most pertinent clinical information at the top. You can view the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs on the left sidebar. The Current APSO tab displays the current encounter information, and the Previous APSO tab displays the clinical information of the patient from the previous encounter. You must configure your APSO view settings for your practice to generate the APSO document. Additionally, you must map your visit set to a specialty in the Visit Set Config panel
